Mindfulness is an integral part of the path to awakening. It plays the role of remembering, noticing, and directing our attention, so that other good qualities of the mind can arise. The Seven Factors of Awakening are an early Buddhist framework that describes how the mind & body can develop, starting with mindfulness but going beyond it towards liberation.

Friendships are something we all experience. In his early teachings, the Buddha spoke extensively about this essential aspect of human life, and several suttas are devoted entirely to the theme of friendship. These teachings emphasise the vital role of dharma friends — in walking the path of practice and awakening.
In this course, we will explore the Dharma of friendships through these original teachings, examining how they can guide us in building meaningful connections, creating supportive communities, and cultivating the qualities of both being and having good friends in our daily lives.
